Graduate Program

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Oklahoma offers the following degree programs:

Our programs are rigorous and designed to give students a solid foundation in advanced mathematics. After leaving OU, our graduates are prepared for successful careers in academia, industry, and government service.

Here at Oklahoma, our core research areas are Algebra and Number Theory; Analysis and Applied Math; Geometry and Toplogy; and RUME (math education). We have approximately 34 faculty, 60 graduate students, and 8 postdoctoral researchers. The atmosphere in the department is friendly and collaborative, with numerous weekly seminars running in all our research areas and regular tea time.
