Bachelor of Arts
The Bachelor of Arts degree (B670) is the basic undergraduate mathematics degree. When you have completed this degree, you will have a well-rounded liberal arts degree preparing you for a wide variety of career paths. The mathematics requirements for the BA are:
  • Calculus I - IV (1823, 2423, 2433, 2443 or 1914, 2924, 2934)
  • Discrete Mathematical Structures (2513) and Linear Algebra (3333)
  • Ordinary Differential Equations (3113) or Physical Mathematics (3413)
  • 12 credits of upper-division mathematics , 9 credits of which must be numbered 4000 or higher (excluding 4232).
  • Capstone (4513)

Bachelor of Science - Professional
The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Professional Degree (B671) is a rigorous undergraduate mathematics degree. This challenging program will prepare you to pursue graduate studies in mathematics or mathematically intensive subjects. The mathematics requirements for the BS are:

Combined BS Mathematics/MS Biostatistics
This is a 5-year dual-degree program (A671) in conjunction with the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the OU Health Sciences Center. Minor in Mathematics
A minor in mathematics requires students to complete 15 hours of mathematics courses which are acceptable for a major in mathematics. Bachelor of Science in Education - Math Specialty
